The Green Bay Packers, winners of Super Bowl XLV, received their behemoth Super Bowl rings Thursday night during a ceremony at Lambeau Field.

The event was blessed by the league despite the fact that the NFL lockout prevents players and teams to fraternize.

The ring is a busy piece of jewelry that features a raised G logo with four football-shaped diamonds flanking it to represent their four titles. A total of 92 diamonds surround the crest, representing the number of years that the franchise has been in existence.

The sides carry the player number encircled, with a depiction of Lambeau Field on one side and the Lombardi trophy on the other.

The inside of the ring includes the scores of all of the Packers playoff wins and the sentiment “1 Mind, Goal, Purpose and Heart,” their team mantra.

The ring contains 3.35 total carats of diamonds … impressive indeed. Jostens President and CEO Tim Larson, the company that hand-crafted the jewelry, said: “It’s a ring like none other. When you look at the top of that ring, it’s brilliant and it’s a story.”

Packers cornerback Charles Woodson agrees: “It’s a beautiful ring. They couldn’t have made it any more spectacular. It’s the most incredible ring I’ve seen.”

Packers coach Mike McCarthy told his players that winning the next Super Bowl will be much more difficult. He has already come up with a new team manta: “Entitlement is the enemy.” Go Pack!
