Last week, we learned that Jenny McCarthy won't be invited to Melissa McCarthy's wedding.

Jenny was apparently outraged to hear this rumor widely reported, so she issued a statement to People magazine...confirming that it's totally true.

Yes, despite the fact that they're first cousins and former co-workers Jenny did not invite Melissa to her upcoming wedding, but it's not because they hate each other.'s just because it's a super-exclusive affair!

"There is this crazy story going around that I once told my cousin Melissa that she would have to to lose weight in order to get into show business," says McCarthy. "Nothing could be further from the truth."

"When she was starting off, I was fortunate enough to be able to get her a job, on a show that I was doing," Jenny added. "She has accomplished everything she has ever accomplished through hard work and her extraordinary talent."

"They also say that I've 'banned' Melissa from my wedding, which is also ridiculous," she says. "Donnie and I are planning a very intimate ceremony...not a huge production with hundreds of friends and extended family members."

Wow. Not getting along with family members is something we can relate to, but not inviting your cousin just because she's not cool enough? Is Jenny trying to come off like a raging b-tch on wheels?!

We're guessing most people don't realize it, but Melissa McCarthy and Jenny McCarthy are first cousins.

They don't look much alike, and they don't spend much time together as a result of a falling out several years ago.

Jenny and Melissa have been cordial when speaking about one another in the press, so it was widely assumed that they'd patched things up, but simply hadn't grown close again.

According to a recent report, however, the bad blood between these two is worse than ever, and Jenny has fired the latest shot in their ongoing feud by refusing to invite Melissa to her wedding!

Yes, Jenny is marrying Donnie Wahlberg soon (they're keeping the date a secret), and despite friends and family urging her otherwise, she's sending a message to her cousin by not sending her an invitation.

The ill will dates back to 1997 when Jenny gave a struggling Melissa a part in a sketch on her talk show. Jenny later advised Melissa that she'd have an easier time making it as an actress if she lost some weight.

Melissa took the comment to heart, and reportedly bad mouthed her cousin in a way that Jenny has never been able to forgive.

Melissa recently confirmed to Howard Stern that she won't be attending Jenny's wedding.

Happy tears all around!  As reported earlier, Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are ENGAGED!

McCarthy made the surprise announcement on The View today, crying as she described how her son was in on the proposal.  As her son brought her cards with the words "Will" and "You", McCarthy put it all together...and then in walked Wahlberg with a shirt that said "Marry Me."

As she accepted the proposal (how could she NOT?  He's a New Kid on the Block for crying out loud) her son yelled with excitement, "I have another dad!!"

Watch Jenny describe the super sweet moment!

McCarthy also flashed her huge rock of a ring.  What do you think of the yellow stone?

I can't wait to hear wedding details!

Jenny McCarthy announced on today's episode of The View that she and boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg are ENGAGED!

This news makes me endlessly happy and I don't know why! I am a huge Donnie Wahlberg fan, going back to NKOTB. And Jenny McCarthy, while crazy and sometimes annoying, is someone you just want to be happy.

On The View today, she flashed her rock, "It's a yellow sapphire," and told how he popped the question...her son Evan was involved and Donnie got down on one knee.

The couple don't have a plan yet as to when or where, but they sure seem happy.

So happy for them!

Jenny McCarthy, 41, revealed on yesterday's taping of The View that "Jim and I have become friends now since our breakup."

We all know it didn't end in the most amicable way...but congrats to them for being adults and moving on.

BUT allegedly she and Jim are now talking frequently much to the annoyance of Jenny's new beau, Donnie Wahlberg.

McCarthy and Carrey dated from 2005-2010, and Carrey got very close to Jenny's son, Evan.

A source tells Radar Online that Donnie is really concerned about the relationship because he knows that Jim has a hold on Jenny.

STAY STRONG LADY! We love that Donnie Wahlberg!

oprah doesnt have a sht list

Talk show host Jenny McCarthy revealed during a recent television appearance that the person she is most scared of is Oprah Winfrey.

The revelation came during a guest interview on 'Watch What Happens Live' Tuesday on the Bravo network.

Host Andy Cohen asked her, "If you had to name one celebrity that you would not look forward to interviewing because of your past experiences, who would it be?"

She responded, "I probably would be scared of Oprah.  I signed a deal with her for five years and then I left.  I'm probably #4 on her sh*t list."

It didn't take long for the conversation to reach the ears of Oprah.  She hit Twitter earlier today with this response that strongly suggests that all is forgiven:

earth to jenny no sht list

McCarthy ended her production deal in mid-2011.  After the media caught wind of it, Oprah's camp released this statement: "Harpo Studios was working with Jenny McCarthy to develop a potential syndicated series.  The parties mutually agreed several months ago not to move forward with the project."

babs supports jenny mccarthy on the view

Amid rumors that Jenny McCarthy may soon be ousted from her co-hosting duties on ABC's 'The View,' her boss issued the totally expected denial through a show rep.

A Barbara Walters spokesperson issued a terse response, "There is absolutely no truth to these reports."

End of story, right?  Not so fast.  We've heard the very same denials when rumors suggested that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was leaving the show, and when sources claimed Walters was about to announce a retirement date.  That said -- who knows whether McCarthy has already worn out her welcome just a month after joining the morning talk show panel.

The latest speculation was fueled by reports that show co-creator and producer Bill Geddie is having second thoughts about bringing Jenny on board when Season 17 kicked off on Sept. 9, 2013.

Premiere week averaged 3 million total viewers, slightly below the rating received during Whoopi Goldberg's debut week back in 2007.

The show last won a Daytime Emmy in 2009 for Outstanding Talk Show Host.  At that time the panelists were Goldberg, Behar, Shepherd, Hasselbeck and Walters.

McCarthy, 40, is known for her quick wit, outrageous sense of humor and her unfiltered take on just about everything.  She replaced the decidedly conservative Republican Hasselbeck, who strongly supported the Bush administration and regularly received talking points from the White House to support her position against the rest of her co-hosts.

We'll be keeping close tabs on Sherri Shepherd in the coming weeks.  She has leaked more than one hot scoop in the past and if anyone is going to let something slip -- it will be her.

jenny mccarthy new co host of the view

Jenny MCCarthy will be joining the ladies of The View as co-host when the show returns on September 9 for its 17th season.

The announcement comes as Joy Behar prepares to leave, and less than a week after Elisabeth Hasslebeck co-hosted her last episode of the talk show.

McCarthy confirmed the news Monday on her blog, with a post titled, "YUP, I'M DOING 'THE VIEW'!"

From Jenny McCarthy's blog: "When word got out that Joy was leaving “The View,” I knew that the timing of my desire and her departure might be serendipitous for me. Fortunately, the executives at Vh1 also knew these opportunities don’t happen that often, and they allowed me to make the move with their loving support. It’s proof that I was working with some amazing people over there, and I will continue to do more with them — outside of talk — in the future.

Now, I look forward to working with my amazing new partners at ABC. I start co-hosting “The View” on September 9th. I can’t tell you how excited I am for the opportunity to work with Barbara, Whoopi and Sherri.  I will be doing everything I can to provoke conversation, make you think, make you laugh and maybe even spill the beans on what goes on backstage (like if I accidentally barge into Bradley Cooper’s dressing room in a towel).

I might be moving from late night to daytime, but I’m just as fun with a mimosa as I am with a martini. I look forward to spiking your morning coffee on “The View” for years to come."

Show host and co-executive producer Barbara Walters released a statement, saying, "Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for The View."

jenny mccarthy and donnie wahlberg

Comedic television host and Playboy hottie Jenny McCarthy has a new love interest - New Kids on the Block singer Donnie Wahlberg.

She enjoyed a week of vacation over the 4th of July, and spent the time hanging out with Wahlberg and a bunch of their friends.

They first discovered that they had chemistry when the 43-year-old boy band singer appeared on 'The Jenny McCarthy Show' in March.

During a segment dubbed Pillow Talk, the pair sucked on red Tootsie Pops while they "got to first base on TV."

Forty-year-old Jenny asked, "Do you talk dirty when you're having sex?"  He chuckled while admitting, "I do."

She replied, "You Do?  But you know, some guys do it wrong."

He assured her, "Yeah, but I don't do it wrong."

McCarthy has landed a co-hosting gig on 'The View.'  Sherri Shepherd leaked the closely guarded secret while making her way though LAX shortly after Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced she was heading to 'Fox & Friends.'

When a photographer asked about the replacement rumors, Sherri said through her tears, "Jenny McCarthy is fearless, she's amazing, she'll cause some stuff, so I'm excited about her."

Several weeks ago Sherri inadvertently confirmed that Hasselbeck's days were number while doing a guest appearance on 'The Wendy Williams Show."  Shepherd joked, "The two black women are left.  Usually they kill us off in the beginning."

Host Wendy pounced, "So if the two black women are left, then you've just confirmed that Hasselbeck is out."

Sherri wailed, "No I did not.  She's going to be there.  We're all going to be there next season."  Liar, liar...

jenny mccarthy the view

Jenny McCarthy is reportedly in talks to replace panelist Joy Behar when she exits 'The View' in August.

The television personality is no stranger to the show, having appeared previously as a guest co-host on the ABC talk show.

US Weekly is reporting, “She is in talks right now. The cast and crew get a kick out of Jenny, she’s a good fit.”

When Behar first announced her retirement, McCarthy's plate was full with her VH1 show 'The Jenny McCarthy Show,' which has since been cancelled -- leaving her available and more than willing to step in.

Another name at the top of the short list is Brooke Shields, 48, who is rumored to be in line to replace Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 36, come fall.

Executive producer and top honcho Barbara Walters revealed in May that she plans to retire in the summer 2014, after a year of television specials.  The broadcast maven is 83.

But we digress.  McCarthy is a spokesperson for Tria hair removal system and gave them a comedic shout-out during her last appearance on 'The View' -  check out the video:

If you were casting 'The View,' who would your dream co-hosts be to sit beside Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd?
