It's a fashion face-off! Who wore this fun color-block dress by Fausto Puglisi better? Brandy Norwood or Katy Perry?!
Brandy wore the dress to the premiere of 'A Haunted House 2' held at Regal Cinemas in L.A. just last night (April 16th.) Katy wore the dress back in 2012 to the Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch at Soho House.
I love Katy's bright blue hair, but I love Brandy's natural beauty and how bright and happy she looks, even with the recent announcement of her split from fiance, Ryan Press.
Not only is Katy Perry adorable, but she's totally sweet in the new video for her single, "Birthday." The singer and her crew had lots of fun and sugary ideas...but they needed help with the baked goods.
Who do you call when you have sugar and birthdays on the brain? Ace of Cakes, Duff Goldman, duh.
Goldman and his Cakemix staff worked with Perry's team, filling a list of cakes that included a cat cake, a birthday suit cake, and a hamburger cake. Some of the cakes needed to have specific song lyrics piped on them to fit with the video's lyric video concept.
How did it all come together? Take a look for yourself.
Katy Perry proves that it is indeed easy being green...
The singer debuted a new bold look on Instagram last night, April 7th. Not sure of the reasoning behind the color change, but it definitely makes a *ahem statement. She captioned her picture with, "Slime green for spring by my bb's @neeenaboo & @brantmayfield at the @mcmillansalon", tagging her stylist and colorist at the Chris McMillan Salon in LA.
Katy certainly isn't a stranger when it comes to color, but green is a new one, even for her! Just when everyone goes lavendar, Perry goes green!
They left the front a dark brown color and blended the back to the green color we see in the picture, making it surprisingly tame!
Among the star-studded concert-goers attending the debut of Britney Spears' 'Piece of Me' show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas over the weekend were Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus.
Both of the A-list entertainers were in Sin City for other gigs and decided to take in the first official performance kicking off Britney's two-year residency.
The 'ROAR' singer will entertain at a private New Year's Eve party on Tuesday and the 'Wrecking Ball' celeb was set to appear at the grand opening of Beacher's Madhouse just down the street at MGM Grand.
Billboard described Brit's 24-song Vegas show as "a non-stop hits bonanza." The 90-minute show featured a massive rotating tree, pyrotechnics, rain, fire, an army of dancers and the singer "flying."
Among those walking the red carpet were television and film actress Ivana Milicevic, 'Extra' host Mario Lopez and former 'Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert.
Selena Gomez also took in the action according to social media, though she apparently shunned the red carpet. The former Disney celeb tweeted, "Sia!! Thank you soooo much for taking me to Britney!!!! Ahhhh"
Britney interacted with Miley, who was seated in the front row during the high energy performance. The bump and grind session was likely orchestrated beforehand and included a make out interlude with two of Spears' female dancers.
The pop princess did some grinding as the 'BANGERZ' star jumped up and down and pumped her arm in the air. Check it out in the video clip below:
Katy Perrylit up social media after her Geisha-inspired opening act at Sunday night's American Music Awards with some of the comments suggesting that her White Face performance was racist.
Her stylist, 'America's Next Top Model' creative director Johnny Wujek, tried to explain to detractors that she dressed in traditional Japanese garb because she seriously loves everything about that particular culture.
Wujek said, "Katy and I both love Japan. The people are so kind, there's so much there visually. Just walking around in Japan, you feel something. We wanted to try and encompass that in the performance somehow, almost a tribute."
Perry kicked off the 2013 AMA show with a rendition of her single 'Unconditionally,' while rocking a modernized version of a traditional Geisha robe. Her stylist reports, "For Katy we took a stunning real kimono and reworked it more into a gown."
Her dancers were dressed in original Geisha costumes and artistically twirled brilliantly colored parasols as part of their intricate choreography.
Wall Street Journal employee Jeff Yang wrote, "This was a full-barreled technicolor assault on a quarter-millennium-old set of traditions that would've given any self-respecting denizen of Kyoto's Gion District a massive fatal heart attack."
Ravi Chandra M.D., said in Psychology Today, "If you don't think Katy Perry was racist -- let me ask you, what if she had performed in blackface? Perhaps the costume isn't the same as changing skin color to you, but it is agonizingly close for me."
Check out her AMA performance below and let us know -- was she being insensitive or just playing dress up?
The 2013 American Music Awards took place Sunday night in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater with Pitbull hosting and Katy Perry opened the show.
Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga with R Kelly, Jennifer Lopez, One Direction, Macklemoreand Lewis, Kendrick Lamar, Luke Bryan and Rhianna entertaining the crowd.
The much-anticipated and decidedly tame rendition of 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus was saved for last. The crowd showed their appreciation with an impressive round of applause afterward.
We were waiting for one or two artists to stand out and do something crazy but it was pretty low-key for primetime television. Gaga and R Kelly were slightly bizarre but we have seen crazier. Kelly played the President while Gaga channeled Marilyn Monroe.
Justin Timberlake and his touring band the Tennessee Kids performed ‘Drink You Away' which he introduced as “a song about alcohol.” He played the acoustic guitar while his band energetically provided the horns, backup vocals and other instruments. It was a full-on dance fest that had the crowd whipped into a frenzy.
We were disappointed in Miley's 'Wrecking Ball' performance. She was rocking a skimpy spandex two-piece ensemble embellished with kitty faces to compliment the giant cat projected behind her. Through the magic of technology, the feline mimicked every line that came out of her mouth. The cat even stuck out its tongue at the sideways angle that has become a trademark for the former Disney celeb.

Katy Perry has released the music video for her latest song 'Unconditionally' this week on YouTube with 4.5 million views during the first two days.
In the past Katy has been all about rainbows and lollipops but the new video is a departure with a decidedly Victorian-style that she uses to express the serious side of love "with gowns by Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Wes Gordon" -- according to a comment she made on social media.
The music video doesn't have a complete narrative and is reportedly influenced by such films as 'Dangerous Liaisons' and 'Anna Karenina.'
'Unconditionally' director Brent Bonacorsotold MTV, "When she sings this song she doesn't sing it lightly. This love that she speaks of is like a force of nature, epic storm and a tempest, and that's definitely something I wanted to capture... a more mysterious, elegant and sophisticated world to live in... less about a time period and more about creating an impression and a feeling."
Perry ends the video with flowers and car parts splattering behind her. Regarding that spectacular video climax, she tweeted this question to her 47.7 million followers, "Yes, unconditional loves sometimes feels like being hit by a car... Or being on fire... How does it feel to you?"
It is the fifth song from her recently released album 'Prism.' She'll kick off a world tour in May 2014 with the first stop in the UK.
Inquiring minds want to know if there is any special significance to the diamond ring that Katy Perry was sporting last night in Amsterdam at the MTV EMAs.
Did John Mayer propose to the 'ROAR!' singer or was she just messing with us?
Katy P walked the red carpet wearing a Zac Posen dress, floral Dolce & Gabbana headband and a sparkler on the ring finger normally reserved for engagement and wedding bling.
The impressive gem setting is mounted on a decidedly dainty band -- not your normal mega statement. But then, wouldn't that be just like Mayer to go with the unexpected?
On Valentine's Day Katy wore a heart shaped ruby ring designed by Daniel Gibbings on the same finger. It was a gift from her boyfriend.
Katy didn't have the ring on during her performance last night, nor while hoisting her Best Female Artist award at the after party. That would seem to suggest that it was merely an accessory to compliment her red carpet look...
Perry, 29, and Mayer, 36, went public with their romance in the summer of 2012. He co-wrote the bonus track 'Spiritual' off Perry's latest album, Prism. She reciprocated by adding her vocals to 'Who You Love' on John's Paradise Valley.
Katy Perry has made her move over the weekend -- blowing past Justin Bieber for the top spot on the social media site Twitter.
Monday afternoon she was poised at 46,553,870 when we captured this snapshot in time while the former #1 is currently sitting at 46,521,752 followers.
The news is a low blow for the 19-year-old who has already suffered humiliation over the weekend when he was hit in the head by a water bottle while performing in Brazil. He was so upset that he stormed off stage and remained in his dressing room for an hour before returning to finish his concert.
The 'ROAR' singer is now the most popular celebrity on the Twitter planet that is made up of 554,750,000 active registered users. The Oct. 22 release of her album 'Prism' undoubtedly helped her to become the Queen of Twitter.
Lady Gaga held the coveted spot from 2010 until January when Bieber mowed her down. The 'Applause' artist is currently hovering in third place with 40 million loyal followers.
