Former ‘Baywatch’ babe Pamela Anderson accomplished a noteworthy feat by running the New York City Marathon on Sunday November 3 with her brother.
Prior to the event she admitted that many of her friends wanted her to wear the iconic red ‘Baywatch’ swimsuit for the big race. She joked, “They thought it would be really funny. The bad thing was, I did think twice about it!”
She hit social media to post a pre-race photo that she captioned on Twitter, “So proud of my brother Gerry Anderson. Thanks G for running next to me today – love you.”
The brother-sister duo maintained a running speed of 4.7 mph for an average pace per mile of 12:48, crossing the finish line together. Pamela, 46, finishing in 5:41:03 and Gerry, 42, clocking a final time of 5:41:01.
According to her fundraising page, Pam raised nearly $76,000 for the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which aims to save lives and bring sustainable programs to the impoverished Caribbean nation devastated by the 2010 earthquake.
She shared a photo of the aftermath–using one word to sum up her current condition: “OUCH!”
Receiving a finisher’s medal made the pain more manageable. Check out the new bling that she posted along with this sentiment: “Thank You New York City!”
Well done Pamela Anderson!
