wendy william peta billboard

Talk show host Wendy Williams is the latest celebrity to take off her clothes for animal rights group PETA.  Her campaign was unveiled yesterday in Times Square in New York City.

Williams, who was once a fur lover, has joined the "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign and declared, "We should all try to be comfortable in our own skin and let animals keep theirs."

PETA and Williams are urging those who own fur coats to donate them to the organization so that they can donate them to the homeless as part of a winter coat drive.

joanna krupa peta ad

'Real Housewives of Miami' star Joanna Krupa is the latest celebrity to shed her clothes for animal rights group PETA.

This is Joanna's third time posing for the cause.  The Polish swimsuit model said in a press release: "I wanted to do this campaign to keep talking to people about how bad fur is.  Stop!  Fur is not sexy.  It's not cool.  You're walking down the street wearing fur--you really look like an idiot!"

The animal lover believes it is totally ridiculous to wear fur or fur trim so she donned an extra 'faux fur' accessory below the belt to make her point.

You can view the full ad here and be sure to check out a PETA photo shoot clip below:

olivia munn peta spokeswoman

The latest celebrity advocate for PETA is Olivia Munn.  The actress has joined the I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fun campaign with a signature ad featuring her without any clothing.

Munn stands behind PETA's fight against wearing fur for fashion and wants us all to be educated in an effort to stop the trend.

She said, "When you think about even that little tiny trim of fur on your gloves or on your collar, that is still coming from an animal that had to endure so much pain just for you.  There's nothing good about pretending like you don't know."

Check out Olivia's PETA ad below along with an in-depth video interview about fur farm horrors:

peta super bowl ad

It is not uncommon for PETA to push the limits with the spokesmodels posing naked for their ad campaigns.   Has the latest ad for Super Bowl XLV gone too far?

The animal rights group's goal is to educate the world about the inhumane way that animals are treated.  NBC declined to air PETA's 2009 "Veggie Love" ad -- even after being offered $3 million.

This year the ad looks just as racy.  The entire commercial consists of outtakes from the 2009 ad auditions.  Beautiful women are posing with a variety of vegetables and performing inappropriate acts with them.

Appropriate for a Super Bowl audience consisting of adults and their kids?  Not so much ...

lady gaga meat bikini

Lady Gaga really knows how to get the world talking.  On the recent cover of Vogue Hommes Japan, the entertainer posed in nothing but thin slabs of meat that were draped to suggest a revealing bikini.  Needless to say... PETA is pissed.

The photo shoot was done by photographer Terry Richardson.  Inside the pages Gaga is shown as her male alter-ego Jo Calderone.

PETA president Ingrid Newkirk told Daily News, "Oh, Lady Gaga's job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body."

So what do you think... smart move or over-the-top crazy?

pamela anderson peta ad

Actress Pamela Anderson's latest ad campaign for PETA isn't being perceived as the animal rights activist group expected.  The blonde bombshell flew to Montreal for the unveiling of the vegetarian campaign, only to be denied a permit for the event.  In an eleventh hour decision, city officials rejected the request because they have determined that the PETA ad is "sexist".

Pamela promptly issued this statement:  "In a city that is known for exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned for using her own body in a political protest over the suffering of cows and chickens.  In some parts of the world, women are forced to cover their whole bodies with burqas - is that next?  I didn't think Canada would be so puritanical."

PETA Senior Vice President Dan Mathews suggests that Montreal city officials are confusing "sexy with sexist."

The ad depicts what a butcher would see when he looks at the carcass of a dead cow or chicken.  The campaign reads:  All Animals Have the Same Parts.  Have a Heart - Go Vegetarian.

What do you think...is the ad sexist?

kim kardashian cat photo

Kim Kardashian tweeted the pic above from a photo shoot in Australia and it has ruffled the feathers of some of her Twitter fans and the folks at PETA.

Kim responded on her blog saying, "Hey guys! So yesterday I was doing a photo shoot with an adorable black kitty cat and I Twitpic'd this picture... I have been getting negative comments regarding the way I was holding the kitty, but rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up. The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals."

TMZ spoke to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, who said "It is permissible to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time" ... but warns, "the manner in which Ms. Kardashian is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals."

Regarding Kim's handling of the kitten PETA says, "Kim Kardashian isn't the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn't needed."

peta tiger woods billboard

Animal-rights group PETA is planning to unveil a non-sanctioned Tiger Woods ad campaign within two weeks.  The huge billboards, featuring a photo of PGA golfer Tiger Woods, will proclaim that  "Too Such Sex Can Be A Bad Thing...For Little Tigers Too" - as seen in our top photo.

The "cheeky spay-and-neuter" add is aimed at cat and dog owners.  Where might we see this new marque message?  PETA is hoping to hoist the first one in the elite gated community of Windermere, the home of Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren. If they manage to get the athlete's blessing, they will expand the reach of their message to a wider audience.

According to PETA spokeswoman Virginia Fort, "It's a fun, tongue-in-cheek approach.  We hope that billboard companies will understand.  The world has been transfixed on Tiger's life after Thanksgiving.  We're putting the focus where it needs to be.  We're sure Tiger will appreciate our attempt -- from a story that's distracted the world and followed Tiger -- to turn it into something positive for little tigers."

Woods reentered Pine Grove Clinic in Hattisburg, Mississippi  on February 20, 2010 for continuing treatment of sex addiction.  No word yet from Woods' attorney, Mark NeJame, his agent, Mark Steinberg, or his spokesman, Glenn Greenspan.

What do you think?  Will he buy into this little PETA scheme or bring down the hammer?

kelis peta fight

R&B singer and songwriter Kelis seems to always have a little controversy surrounding her.  This time she is taking on PETA -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, after they attacked her.

What's their beef (pun intended)?  Check out the photo above and you will have your answer.  The singer believes that PETA president Ingrid Newkirk is "nuts" after Kelis received a letter from PETA.  Now she has decided to write an open-letter on her MySpace blog.

"There is no humane way to kill anything, let me start there.  It's unfortunate but it's part of life.  With that being said, I would eat pterodactyl if you found some and you told me it was meaty and delicious.  And after doing a very minimal amount of research...I found that the founder Ingrid Newkirk is completely batty.  I had a feeling, but she far exceeded my expectations.  I mean certifiably insane."

What wouldn't Kelis wear?  "If I started wearing endangered animals like polar bear or orangutan then talk to me.  But the minks and chinchilla, quite honestly, are rodents and if they weren't in the form of a coat, I would demand they be put to death anyway.  They are not an issue to me.

tony and october gonzalez go nude for peta

Tony Gonzalez, tight end for the Atlanta Falcons, and his wife October Gonzalez would "rather go naked than wear fur" according to their new PETA ad.

The couple have jumped on the campaign bandwagon to showcase the mistreatment of animals and bring greater awareness to what they see as the grave error many people are making when they purchase and don clothing made of animal skins.

Check out video footage from their nude PETA photos shoot below.
