kimye rides again this time on a reindeer

In the latest 'SNL' episode of 'Waking Up With Kimye,' we see the celebrity couple showing off a holiday-themed remake of rapper West's Bound 2, this time featuring a reindeer.  Suffice it to say ... Kim and Kanye ride again.

Ensemble cast members Jay Pharaoh and Nasim Pedrad nail their roles as reality star Kim Kardashian and her outspoken fiance Kanye West.

The faux talk show hosts proudly show off Kim's latest architectural accomplishment -- a gingerbread nightclub.  When she wants to devour the roof, Kanye reminds her that she doesn't eat anymore.

Kim introduces the in-house family band, the white-clad Kardashian Khristmas Karolers.  The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' celeb astutely remarked, "We spelled it with three K's.  Happy Holidays KKK."

The featured bit during the nearly four-minute sketch was a parody of the recent music video of the couple writhing on a motorcycle.  While not nearly as creative as the James Franco-Seth Rogan spoof, it is still funny stuff.

Our favorite attempt to mock the original Bound 2 video was the decidedly creative Christmas card of Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia.

snl spoofs obama mandela in cold open

Jay Pharaoh's cold open on NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' mocked a number of issues that befell the President of the United States during his recent trip to South Africa.

In character as Barack Obama, JP stepped to the podium and said, "I'd like to address the controversy at the memorial service for Nelson Mandela.  I experienced a series of unfortunate events.  I mean, first, I got roped into taking a selfie with the blonde female Danish Prime Minister."

"Some people said Michelle was angry at me for that... but I talked to her afterwards and I can assure you she was furious."

"Then I got caught shaking hands with Raul Castro.  In my defense, he told me he was Mexican actor Edward James Olmos.  And finally, there was a sign language interpreter who clearly had no idea what he was doing.  But those were merely distractions and tonight I would like to focus on healthcare."

Slipping into the shot is 'SNL' ensemble comic Kenan Thompson, who began "signing."  He is eventually removed by the Secret Service as 'SNL' actress Kate McKinnon joins Obama in the character of Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany.

She grunts with a German accent, "I have und favor to ask.  Ze Danish Prime Minister has been bragging all over Northern Europe about her selfie with you.  And I vas hoping that I could get one as well."

POTUS responds, "I don't think so."  Markel quipped, "Oh really?  I feel like you kind of owe me after the whole wire tapping my cell phone thing."

He rolls his eyes and consents, "OK, but make it quick."

kerry washington spoofs michelle obama

Kerry Washington hosted 'Saturday Night Live' with a cold open skit dubbed Michelle Obama at the White House.

After a very brief conversation between the First Lady and Jay Pharoah's character President Barack Obama, a White House aide comes in to report that Oprah Winfrey wants to chat with POTUS before the State Dinner.

The aide asks Washington, "So don't you think you should go change?"   She responds, "Why? .... Oh, because of the whole ... and Kenan won't?"  Pharoah responds, "Nope."

Kerry smiles and quips before literally dashing out the door, "Well, in that case I will leave and in a few minutes Oprah will be here."

The sketch is a nod to 'SNL' ensemble cast member Kenan Thompson who recently put down his foot -- refusing to no longer play black women in drag.

We then see dialogue rolling up the screen and the message read aloud by someone sounding very much like Barack Obama delivering a speech:

"The producers at 'Saturday Night Live' would like to apologize to Kerry Washington for the number of black women she will be asked to play tonight.  We made these requests both because Ms. Washington is an actress of considerable range and talent and also because 'SNL' does not currently have a black woman in the cast."

"As for the latter reason, we agree that this is not an ideal situation and look forward to rectifying it in the near future...unless, of course, we fall in love with another white guy first."

miley cyrus spoofs government shutdown on snl

In a parody skit titled 'We Did Stop (The Government),' Saturday Night Live host and musical guest Miley Cyrus poked fun at the government shutdown as Congresswoman Michele Bachmann.  Her partner in crime was ensemble cast member Taran Killem as John Boehner.

The parody showed the Republican Speaker of the House wildly partying with the Queen of the Tea Party.

During SNL's cold opening, Miley Cyrus from the past came to warn present day Miley Cyrus that her MTV VMA performance was going to cause the U.S. government to shut down.

jason sudeikis

Funny man Jason Sudeikis is leaving 'Saturday Night Live' after almost a decade on the show.

Last night during a guest appearance with David Letterman, Sudeikis revealed that he is definitely done, "I'm going to leave. Yeah, I'm not coming back next fall."

Jason has been a cast member on 'SNL' for the past decade, with eight year spent performing sketches after two years as a script writer.  He acknowledged, "It's been really, really amazing.  I was very, very lucky."

Other cast members making their exit this year: Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Seth Meyers.

Following in the footsteps of a number of former 'SNL' ensemble cast members, Sudeikis has launched into a promising film career.  He co-stars with Jennifer Aniston in 'We're the Millers,' set to hit theaters on August 7.

On the love front, Sudeikis announced his engagement to 'Tron' actress Olivia Wilde on Jan. 12, 2013.

jen and ben on snl

'Argo' producer Ben Affleck was joined during this week's 'Saturday Night Live' opening monologue by his gorgeous wife Jennifer Garner.

The 40-year-old Academy Award-winning actor, during his fifth hosting appearance, poked fun at his 2013 Oscar acceptance speech after inviting his spouse to join him on stage.

Rocking a stunning black gown, Jen greeted her hubby with a kiss.  He then proceeded to admit that giving an award speech can be terrifying and it is easy to mess up.

Ben noted, "I thanked my wife while saying the essence of marriage is 'work.'  Some uncharitable souls on the Internet took that to mean our marriage is some kind of manual labor.  That's not it."

She clarified, "We use the term 'work' to define how we talk privately about our commitment to keeping our relationship strong.  Not sure why you have to share it live with a billion people, but..."

He asked her, "What would you have called it in a speech?"  She promptly responded, "A GIFT.  I would have said, 'Thank you to my wife - our marriage is a gift."

Audience laughter made her bolder.  "Maybe we should discuss who actually does all the work."

Affleck then proceeded to lavish several compliments on his wife.  She responded, "You're reading that from a cue card."

When he told her, "I love you," she kissed her husband on the lips and gave him one parting shot, "Thank you, you're a lot of work!"

He whispered something personal to her as she left the stage.

kate mckinnon channels ellen

Kate McKinnon of 'Saturday Night Live' fame did an amazingly convincing impersonation of Ellen DeGeneres yesterday during a guest appearance.

After sitting down with Ellen for a chat, the talk show host sent McKinnon backstage with a duplicate set of clothing to match what DeGeneres was wearing.

The 'SNL' celeb reemerged while rocking out with some very cool Ellen-like dance moves as she channeled her version of Ellen for the popular comedian.

McKinnon took over the hosting chair and announced, "I'm Vegan... I'm just kidding.  I'm Ellen" before morphed into some classic chair squirming.  Then she joined the real DeGeneres for a dance segment with the audience.

Kate appeared for all three season of 'The Big Gay Sketch Show' circa 2007-2010, a LGBT-themed series that was produced by Rosie O'Donnell.  During that stint she impersonated Barbara Walter in 'The View' sketches.

Check out yesterday's amusing video clip below:

kristen wiig needs a stylist

Kristen Wiig appeared last night at Caesars Palace in Vegas for the 20th Century Fox CinemaCon event.  Dare we suggest that she was rocking an old lady vibe?  Sorry KW.

The 39-year-old comedic actress was on hand to promote her upcoming film 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' with co-star Ben Stiller.

Wiig's final performance as an ensemble cast member on 'SNL' was in May 2012 and she has been pounding out one film after another in the year since she departed the seven year gig.

She divorced actor Hayes Hargove in 2009 after a four year union.  Her latest relationship has been with The Stokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti.

We checked on Kristen's last few red carpet appearances to determine whether last night was just a fluke ... and based on the photos below, we've come to the conclusion that Wiig could use some help with her hair and clothing.

don pardo 95 recovering from broken hip

Veteran television announcer Don Pardo was forced to miss his usual 'SNL' intro announcement this week because he broke his hip.

Pardo, 95, has introduced 'Saturday Night Live' during all but one season since 1975.  His was the first voice ever heard during the premiere show when he uttered "Live from New York..."

Don was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 2010 and suggested at that time that he wouldn't be returning for another season.

NBC couldn't let that stand and made arrangement thereafter for Pardo to pre-record his weekly announcements from his home in Arizona.

The iconic voice-over celeb had a long association as the game show announcer for 'The Price is Right' and 'Jeopardy!'.  He also made history in 1963 as the on-duty live booth announcer for NBC in New York who was first to announce that President John F. Kennedy had been shot in Dallas.

According to TMZ, he is "doing just fine."

Check out an interview where DP talked about his storied radio and television career:
