jillian screwed up

'Biggest Loser' trainer Jillian Michaels had some explaining to do last night on the NBC reality weight loss show after it was discovered that she had broken the program rules.

During the weigh-in on Tuesday night's episode, it was revealed by host Alison Sweeney that something very disturbing was about to adversely affect the white team.

She warned, "Before you all step on the scale, there is something important that needs to be addressed.  Last week, Jillian broke the rules and gave caffeine supplements to each member of her team without doctor's permission."

Sweeney went on to explain that it was "for fairness reasons" that the white team received a 4-pound penalty and the previous week's results were invalidated.

Previously eliminated red team contestant Ruben Studdard will be allowed to return to the ranch to continue training with Dolvett Quince and Bob Harper's blue team had their previously won immunity restored -- making last night's weigh-in a two team competition.

Jillian's team lost and Craig Arrington got the boot.  The rule breaking trainer defended her actions, "I stand by my opinion, a caffeine supplement is significantly healthier than unlimited amounts of coffee.  My only regret is that my team, they're the ones suffering the consequences of my professional opinion."

Did NBC handle it properly by punishing the entire white team for the transgressions of their trainer or should Jillian have been the one sent packing?  It depends on who you ask...

divorced couple welcome baby boy

Stephanie Anderson of 'Biggest Loser' fame gave birth to a baby boy last week, two months after filing for divorce from Sam Poueu, another alum of the weight loss reality show.

Her newborn son Dillon arrived at 1:42 a.m. on July 18, weighing 8 lbs. 10 oz. and measuring 20-1/2 inches long.

When Stephanie, a contestant on the ninth season of the NBC show, was seven months pregnant she discovered that her husband of one year had been unfaithful.  They reportedly tried couples counseling but have opted to move forward with a divorce.

Anderson, 33, announced in May, "It is with great sadness that my marriage to Sam Poueu is ending.  Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy during this difficult time."

Stephanie was eliminated from season 9 of 'Biggest Loser' during week 11.  Her love interest at the time, Sam Poueu, was sent home during week 16.  At the season finale on May 25, 2010 it was announced that the California contestants were in a serious relationship.  They wed two years later.

We checked the Twitter page of the baby daddy and discovered that he tweeted on the day after the arrival of his newborn infant, "I.Love.YOU.SON."

He recently told PEOPLE, "We are excited to be blessed as his parents and are focusing all of our energy and attention on doing what is best for his future.  He is the most important person right now to both of us."

Now that the child has arrived, Sam changed his Avatar to a photo of himself cradling Dillon on his chest.

It remains unclear what type of custody arrangement will be sanctioned by a judge as the divorce proceeds through the court system.

ruben studdard joins biggest loser s15

Former 'American Idol' winner Ruben Studdard will compete during Season 15 of 'The Biggest Loser' this fall.

It has been a decade since the 'Velvet Teddy Bear' won Season 2 of the Fox singing competition and now he faces a different type of challenge.

Studdard tipped the scales at 455 in 2006 and was able to lose 70 pounds after embarking on a vegetarian diet.

The 35-year-old hung with the lifestyle change until he and his wife Surata Zuri McCants got a divorce in 2012.  Since then he has put back on the weight.

In a shocking admission, Ruben admits that his obesity hasn't been a major source of concern, "I've never had an issue with my weight, but my family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-related issues - things I didn't have to deal with yet because I'm young.  But I don't want to be worried at 40, and if I don't fix things now, I will be."

The new season will premiere on Tuesday Oct. 8 at 8/7c on NBC, with a scaled back one hour time slot, on a new night, just before 'The Voice.'

According to the network, "The tighter editing will move the show along better and will still include the challenges, weigh-ins and eliminations without the bloat."

jillian michaels children

'Biggest Loser' trainer Jillian Michaels has her hands full with the NBC weight loss reality competition and raising her two young children.

The personal trainer did an interview with Fitness magazine and dished about her decidedly hectic day to day life now that she and her partner have added children to the mix.

JM revealed, "I get up at 7 a.m. -- after being up all night with the baby -- and run around trying to get both kids diaper-changed, dressed and fed. Finally I'll shower, and before I know it, I've got 50 e-mails to answer, and I need to leave for work. At the end of the day, I come home, and I'm like, 'OK, let me bathe you, change you, feed you, read you books, put you to bed' -- wait, how am I supposed to do all this? Son of a bitch, this is hard!"

Jillian co-parents with Heidi Rhodes, who gave birth to son Phoenix in May, 2012, a week after they adopted a daughter Lukensia from Haiti.

Michaels claims her two-year-old daughter is a challenge, "Everything right now is 'Lu do, Lu do.' She wants to do everything herself, but it means you have to sit there for 20 minutes while she tries to put on a shirt.  It kills me because I've got to go to work. Heidi gets mad at me: 'How else is she going to learn how to put on her shirt?' or 'Don't rush her -- you're rushing her!' It's brutal, but I'm really trying. I guarantee it's going to be their number one issue in therapy."

The tightly wound trainer decided she needed time away from the 24/7 grind of raising kids, but grudgingly admits she wouldn't trade the craziness for the world.

After a two year hiatus, Jillian rejoined the NBC show for the fourteenth season dubbed 'Biggest Loser: Challenge America,' featuring three overweight children age 13-16 in addition to a full roster of obese adults.  The live finale airs on Monday, March 18.

Michaels acknowledges, "Every day I tell myself how blessed I am. I have a great life. I can't bitch about it, because this is what I wanted. I just thought I'd be able to manage it better. My new motto is 'As long as I'm winning more than I'm losing, I'm still winning!'"

lisa rambo biggest loser on today

Lisa Rambo, the eliminated contestant from Week 5 on the popular NBC weight loss competition 'The Biggest Loser,' was a guest this morning on the TODAY show to talk about shedding more than 80 pounds.

The secret to her success?  She had high praise for her trainer Dolvett Quince and acknowledged that prior to 'Loser' she had never been on a treadmill.  "Who knew that diet and exercise would actually work."

With just six weeks to go before the final weigh-in to determine the grand prize winner and at-home champion, Rambo and her husband Tony have lost a combined 150 pounds.

She joked, "Between the two of us, we've lost a healthy adult, right?"

The Special Education assistant at Hudson High School has made her journey a family affair.  The Wisconsin mother of four has incorporated winter activities in the scenic St. Croix River Valley region as part of her exercise routine.  Lisa gets her burn going while sledding and snowshoeing with her kids.  We've included a family photo that was taken before mom and dad slimmed down.

jillian michaels is back on biggest loser

Motherhood has definitely NOT transformed the over-the-top vocal approach utilized by returning 'Biggest Loser' trainer Jillian Michaels.

During the first of a two-night premiere of the popular NBC weight loss series dubbed Challenge America, Michaels severely browbeat two of the men on her team of five and managed to totally break the spirit of one woman-- who fled for home and therapy before the first weight-in.

Jillian took two years off the show to adopt a Haitian-born daughter Lukensia, 2, and to support her partner Heidi Rhoades, who delivered their son Phoenix 8 months ago.

Now she's back and she appears to be harboring a great deal of pent up hostility that she makes no attempt to hide.  Her male counterparts Bob Harper and Dolvette Quince did a great deal of eye rolling last night as they witnessed her barking like a drill sergeant at her flock of shell shocked newbies.

Raising a family has apparently had zero impact on the way she will approach her training tasks on season 14 at 'The Biggest Loser' ranch.  "Everybody was like, 'You're going to be so much softer.'  And I really want to be, but it's not the case."

Hang on to your hats.  It is likely to be a rocky ride.

the biggest loser season 14

Season 14 of 'The Biggest Loser' two-night premiere kicks off Sunday on NBC with a new twist.  According to promo ads, "age doesn't matter and it's time to take a stand."

The official website reveals, "Jillian Michaels is on a big, bold mission: to tackle the childhood obesity epidemic head-on by featuring kid participants (ages 13-17) for the first time ever in addition to adult contestants. Michaels will join popular returning trainers and top fitness experts Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince. Season 14 will also feature special celebrity guest stars and additional surprises."

Contestants will be divided into three teams.  Each group will be paired with at least one child who will compete with and contribute to their respective teams, though the children will not be eligible for elimination.

We love 'The Biggest Loser' and this season we are very excited that one of the contestants, high school special education assistant Lisa Rambo, happens to reside near me in the scenic St. Croix Valley town of Hudson, WI, a short drive from the Twin Cities of St. Paul-Minneapolis. We'll be rooting for her every step of the way starting with a Viewing Party tonight at Agave Kitchen.

She had this to say about this exciting new journey, "There has always been a strong, FIT girl deep inside me SCREAMING to get out....I have always shut her up with nachos!! I AM READY TO MEET HER!!....are You???"

More details on Lisa here and be sure to follow her journey on her Facebook page.

jillian joins biggest loser season 14

Jillian Michaels has signed on for season fourteen of 'The Biggest Loser' after a two-year hiatus.

The fitness trainer will join Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince when the weight loss competition returns in January.

With ratings falling significantly since Jillian bailed on the show, NBC announced the return of the former train and a few additional twists.

The adult contestants will be divided into three teams and each group will be joined by an overweight teenager, age 13-17, who will help to support the team but will not be eligible for elimination or the big prize.

Jillian weighed in on the format change, "As a former overweight teen, I know firsthand how dramatically weight issues can affect every aspect of a child's life.  Having recently become a mother of two, I am more passionate than ever about helping empower children and families with the information and resources they need to live a healthier life."
