will ferrell reads the news as ron burgundy

Will Ferrell rocked his Ron Burgundy persona as guest newscaster Saturday night in Bismarck, North Dakota on KXMB.

The 'Anchorman' star wore his signature burgundy suit as he opened the show with, "Good evening, I'm Ron Burgundy."

His co-anchor Amber Schatz revealed on Sunday that when those words came out of Ferrell's mouth, "I lost it.  It was really hard not to laugh."

The comedic actor joked throughout the full half-hour broadcast but missed his final cue to end the show with his famous catchphrase "Stay Classy."  Instead he asked, "What? Am I supposed to read that?"

Ferrell is promoting his latest film 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.'  The movie hits U.S. theaters on December 18, featuring co-stars Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, Vince Vaughn, Kristen Wiig and Greg Kinnear.

will ferrell with his boys at emmys

One of the funniest bits during Sunday night's Primetime Emmys was the hilarious appearance of Will Ferrell and his three sons to present the final two awards of the evening.

Many gave up on the lackluster show long before Ferrell and his posse of children took the stage to hand out the prestigious awards for Best Comedy Series and Best Drama Series.

The comedic actor appeared in a t-shirt, shorts and sandals and was accompanied by Magnus, 9, Mattias, 6, and Axel, 3.  The older brothers were dressed in soccer togs and the little guy rocked plaid shorts, rubber boots and clung to a blanket.

Ferrell, 46, told the crowd that Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith had bailed on their presenting duties "literally 45 minutes ago" and he was forced to bring the kids along because he "couldn't find child care, OK?"

He mused, "We had a soccer game, there was a neighbor's birthday party... I didn't have time to do my hair!  It doesn't matter, it's great to be here."

Between awards Ferrell feigned annoyance with his tribe, "You have to go to the bathroom?!  I asked you backstage if you had to go to the bathroom.  So you're just going to have to hold it.  This is the Emmys.  Don't blow this for me!"

will ferrell wears a money suit at mtv movie awards

Will Ferrell got 'Kanye'd' last night while accepting the Comedic Genius Award at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards held at Sony Picture Studios in Los Angeles.

Interrupting the funnyman's speech was 'Parks and Recreation' celeb Aubrey Plaza, who stormed the stage with drink in hand for an brazenly unscripted attempt to promote her new movie.

She tried to wrestle his Golden Popcorn statue away before the startled comedian asked her, "Are you ok?"

At that point she returned to her seat.  The camera panned over her for a closeup that revealed the name of her new movie scrawled in black marker across her chest -- '#The To Do List.'

Ferrell graciously thanked her for a "perfectly executed" bit.  It turns out he was totally in the dark regarding the stunt and it didn't take long for the actress to be ejected from the event.

Early this morning Plaza joked on Twitter, "Thanks for the advice @kanyewest went better than planned! #mtvmovieawards #chrisbosh #thesecret"

Will Ferrell will eat garbage, human toenails or even your underpants if you go to the polls and cast your vote for president.

In a new YouTube clip, the funnyman jokes, "Hi, I'm Will Ferrell... comedian, actor, founder of Facebook, and I will do anything to get you to go out and vote November 6th.  I am not kidding.  Hungry?  How about a home cooked meal.  You need a guy to help you move a couch? Done.  I've even got my own van."

"If you agree to vote in this election I will personally give you a tattoo.  Fair warning... I do not know how to draw."

"I'll do a dance just for you."  He then demonstrates before adding,  "That was just a taste.  If you want the full buffet, you are going to have to vote.  If you vote I'll eat anything you tell me to."

Romney supporters will want to stop the video at the 1 minute mark ... before Ferrell asks you to Vote Obama.  Democrats will want to view the final 17 seconds.

No matter which candidate you support, be sure to exercise your civil duty by casting YOUR VOTE!!

will ferrell anchorman 2

Twitter and Facebook went into overdrive last night after Will Ferrell did a guest spot with Conan O'Brien and announced plans for an Anchorman sequel.

The return of Ron Burgundy in Anchorman 2 was big news indeed and Ferrell's way of breaking the news was to make his grand entrance dressed in his newsman attire and playing a jazz flute.

Although he kept the announcement brief we have heard that Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner will be joining the cast but no word yet on Christina Applegate.

will ferrell super bowl

Shocking as it may seem to sports fans, some people watch the Super Bowl simply to check out the ads.  Doritos Sling Baby is leading the rest of the competition in the USA Today Super Bowl Admeter Poll.

Unless you live in Nebraska you missed Will Ferrell's regional Old Milwaukee commercial.

The comedic actor walks slowly through a soybean field, catches a can of beer midair, opens it and says "Old M."  Yep that's it and then it cut to the news.

Ferrell has actually made several entertaining ad clips for Old Milwaukee, free of charge.

Will Ferrell is the newest pitchman for Old Milwaukee beer and he's doing it for free because he has a passion for the brew.

The comedic actor approached Pabst Brewing about promoting their product and they gave him free reign with the humorous ads.

Daren Metropoulos, co-owner of Pabst said, "We gave him the freedom to pursue his creative vision and produce these spots with a local vibe."

Famous for his portrayal of Frank the Tank in Old School, he filmed a series of intentionally grainy commercials in Davenport, Iowa several months ago.

The company has launched the ads as a region campaign seen by television viewers in the five Quad Cities located in Iowa and Illinois.  Beer lovers and Ferrell fans have since discovered the commercials on YouTube.

A variation of the ads may well end up on the Funny or Die website as branded entertainment.  Many believe that was Ferrell's real motivation when he pitched the project to Pabst.

will ferrell strikes a comedic pose at kennedy center

Will Ferrell was honored on Sunday night at the Kennedy Center, this year's recipient of the famed Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

This is the foremost award for humor, given annually since 1998.  It is named after the 19th century novelist, essayist and humorist Mark Twain.  Last year's winner was Tina Fey.

Ferrell jokingly gave the thumbs-down during his introduction.  His wife Viveca Paulin smiled broadly and applauded at his side.  Other family members in attendance included his brother Patrick Ferrell, and his mother Kay Ferrell.

The 44-year-old, a former Saturday Night Live alum, has made a name for himself as an impressionist, actor, and writer.  He gained notoriety with his spot on impersonations of President George W. Bush, among a long list of others.

His film credits include Old School, Elf, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Stranger than Fiction, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro and The Other Guys.

will ferrell joining the office

Near the end of this season of The Office, Will Ferrell will join the cast for a four episode arc.  He will play a branch manager that comes in as the Steve Carell character Michael Scott begins to take his leave from Dunder Mifflin.

Ferrell has committed to four shows on the NBC comedy.  One of those episodes will be after Carell's finale to help create a bridge between the old and new.

Who knows -- strong ratings could lead to the branch manager role turning into a permanent character.

This is Carell's seventh and final season on the popular show.

funny or die

Funny or Die recently released the 'Presidential Reunion' skit featuring “Saturday Night Live” star Fred Armisen as Barack Obama and SNL alumna Maya Rudolph as Michelle Obama.

The Obamas are visited in a dream sequence by the ultimate line-up of comedic presidential impersonators: Will Ferrell (George W. Bush), Jim Carrey (Ronald Reagan), Dana Carvey (George H. W. Bush), Darrell Hammond (Bill Clinton), Chevy Chase (Gerald Ford) and Dan Aykroyd (Jimmy Carter).

The six minute skit is directed by Ron Howard and, despite being big government political propaganda, it's pretty funny and worth watching.
